For September 3 & 4:

The Mossbank Swimming Pool will be open 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  The Spray Park will be open 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. The Mossbank Golf Club is open all hours.

There will be three 50/50 draws – Saturday at 7:00 pm, Saturday at midnight, and Sunday at 6:00 pm.

Nightly daycare is available at the Legion by booking with Miranda Mathieson – 640-6090.

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM    –    Mossbank & District Museum:

  • Museum tours (9:00 am – 5:00 pm)
  • Threshing machine (9:00 am)
  • Blacksmith (9:00 am – 2:00 pm)
  • Woodworking (10:00 am – 2:00 pm)
  • Scavenger hunt pickup starting 9 am – submit at Museum by 5 pm
  • OWLNA shuttle starting at 10:00 am (please do not drive – no parking available)

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Bus tour

  • Single round trip tour to Bishopric, past Expanse & Ardill, and to RCAF #2 B&G School w/ narrative by Don Smith (must RSVP) – leaves from Museum

10:00 AM – 5:00 PM – Old Wives Lake Nature Area:

  • Trails
  • Birdwatching
  • Canoes (sign out from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm)
  • Ducks Unlimited activities (10:00 am – 4:00 pm)
  • Indigenous teachings:
    • Traditional opening (11:00 am – 11:15 am)
    • Oral history (11:15 am – 12:30 am)
    • Plant walk and activities (1:00 pm – 2:45 pm)
  • Beer gardens (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
  • First Nations dancing (2:45 pm – 4:15 pm)
  • Final bus to Museum at 5:00 pm

12:00 PM    –    Lunch available at The Bent Nail Café, Ardill Hotel, and the Old Wives Lake Nature Area

6:00 PM    –    Fried chicken buffet catered by Top Shelf Grocery at the Mossbank Community Hall (must RSVP, tickets at Top Shelf Grocery, Ardill Hotel & Town Office)

  • Bar opens at 6:00 pm

7:00 PM – 2:00 AM    –    Live musical entertainment at the Mossbank Community Hall

  • All ages cabaret
  • $5 charge for 19 & over (to cover midnight lunch)

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM    –    Inter-denominational  church service (Mossbank Community Hall)

10:00 AM – 3:00 PM    –    Horse wagon rides (from Museum)

10:00 AM – 5:00 PM    –   Kinsmen Park

  • Bouncy Castles, “Old Time Family Fun” incl. horseshoes & giant games (twister, jenga)
  • Clown and balloon tying (12:00 pm – 3:00 pm)
  • Face painting (12:00 pm – 3:00 pm)

 

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM    –    Bus tour

3:00 PM – Pie Eating Contest (sign up at Top Shelf)

5:00 PM    –    Sitting #1 – steak supper fundraiser catered by Ardill Hotel at the Mossbank Community Hall (must RSVP, tickets at Top Shelf Grocery, Ardill Hotel & Town Office)

6:30 PM    –    Sitting #2 – steak supper fundraiser catered by Ardill Hotel at the Mossbank Community Hall (must RSVP, tickets at Top Shelf Grocery, Ardill Hotel & Town Office)

8:30 PM     –     Night Golfing at the Mossbank Golf Club

  • Refreshments available until 1:00 am
