OptionPay: Introduction to Residents

Mossbank is pleased to announce that it will now accept payment by VISA or MasterCard Credit or Debit/Credit card for select municipal bills/services.

Through OptionPay, our third-party payment processor, for a nominal processing fee, you can make card payments through our website using the “Online Bill Payments” link or by scanning the QR Code located at select town locations. All processing fees are charged by OptionPay and are not received by the Municipality.

Utilizing OptionPay enables our Municipality to keep our overall payment acceptance processing costs down while allowing residents to utilize their credit/debit cards for municipal bills/services.

Currently, for our Municipality, the following bill types can be paid through OptionPay:

  • Golf Cart Permits
  • Licences
  • Gym Memberships
  • Property Taxes
  • Utilities
  • Landfill
  • Recreation (day camp, swimming)

All payments will be received by the Municipality within 48 business hours, so please be sure to allow this processing time when making your payment. Also ensure to know your daily and/or transaction processing limit when making credit card payments.

Credit card Rewards are earned on entire purchase, including fees.

Mossbank Cemetery

Mossbank Cemetery is a non-denominational cemetery operated by the Town of Mossbank and located on the North end of Main Street across the train track. The land description is SW 31, 11, 29, W2. The cemetery is open to the public 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. There is no office on site. Individuals inquiring about the cemetery are asked to contact the Town of Mossbank at (306) 354-2294 or by emailing info@mossbank.ca.

Bylaw No 232 98 Cemetery

Bylaw No 7 16 Cemetery Amendment

For purchasers who reside within or can provide sufficient evidence of past residency within the Town of Mossbank, the R.M. of Lake Johnston #102, the R.M. of Sutton #103, or the R.M. of Terrell No. 101 (for that part west of Highway No. 36 only), the price of plots shall be:

  • Grave Plot (4 feet by 12 feet) – $400
  • Cremation Plot (4 feet by 4 feet) – $100

For all other purchasers, the price of plots shall be:

  • Grave Plot (4 feet by 12 feet) – $1,200
  • Cremation Plot (4 feet by 4 feet) – $300

OTHER FEES & CHARGES

  • Open & Close of Grave or Cremation Plot – $300

Expenses Incurred by the Town of Mossbank (If Applicable)

  • Snow Removal Base Charge for Urn Internments – $100
  • Snow Removal Base Charge for Casket Internments – $200
  • Additional Charge per Hour for Snow Removal – $100

Additional fees that may occur are at the discretion of the Public Works Foreman or the Town Office.

Tuesday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Thursday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Saturday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

If requiring service outside of regular hours, there is an hourly rate of $20/ hour.
